Cranky Buzzard Bees

This is where Cranky Buzzard began! Our bee business started out with a swarm caught on a branch in grandma's tree. Over the years the yard has taken in several area swarms, and with selective requeening with Carniolan lines, we have a hybrid selection of gentle productive stock that thrive in the region's unique climate.

Our Apiary is state inspected, and our honey house is licensed for honey production.

Introducing....Our Hive Bottom Box!!!

This little box has made huge improvements to our hives! Our area in Northeast Texas has a Small Hive Beetle problem. This box is built to hold aluminum cooking pans that can be filled with oil. It traps both Beetle and SHB larvae as well as varroa, ants, and other pests! We use it year round and with every hive. The design also allows access without opening the hive.
